Lauren Henry

Committed to Excellence in Equestrian Sport

Lauren’s journey in the equestrian world began with a deep-rooted love for horses and a drive to excel in the sport. She started riding at the age of four in Rhode Island, inspired by her mother and grandfather’s passion for horses. Lauren had a successful equitation career, winning the prestigious New England Equitation Championships twice, as well as the Rhode Island Equitation Championships and Massachusetts Hunter Jumper Finals—each on two occasions. As a junior, she qualified for and competed numerous times at the ASPCA Maclay Final, USEF Medal Final, and Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search Final .

During her collegiate career at the University of Rhode Island, Lauren placed each of her four years at IHSA Nationals and earned the Reserve National Cacchione Cup Championship. Serving as show captain of her team, she embraced the importance of collaboration, positivity, and resilience. She later earned her MBA with a concentration in leadership from Johnson & Wales University, further strengthening her ability to mentor and guide students effectively.

After college, Lauren managed and rode for Bluman Equestrian, one of the most internationally respected show jumping operations in the United States. There, she worked alongside top professionals and gained invaluable experience managing and preparing horses for the highest levels of competition, including international events and team competitions. She continues to collaborate closely with Ilan Bluman and takes pride in sharing the knowledge and training philosophy she acquired with the next generation of riders.

Alongside her experience at Bluman Equestrian, Lauren has also worked with some of the industry’s most respected hunter and sales programs, including Redfield Farm (Emil Spadone) and Tibri Horses (Annie Dotoli and Aster Pieters), as well as top show jumping trainer Adolpho Franco. These roles allowed her to further refine her expertise in the development, marketing, and sale of top hunter, jumper, and equitation horses. Her diverse experience across both the show jumping and hunter/equitation worlds has shaped her into a well-rounded horsewoman with a sharp eye for talent and an unwavering commitment to high-level horsemanship.

Today, Lauren is an accomplished professional with extensive experience competing and winning in the Grand Prix, Hunter Derby, and Equitation rings. Lauren is deeply committed to all aspects of horse care, including daily management, nutrition, groundwork, and recovery. She is passionate about developing young horses with thoughtful preparation for their future careers and takes great satisfaction in training riders, guiding their growth and progress within the sport. Proud to walk into the ring with each rider, Lauren values the dedication and effort invested in every achievement. Her approach is grounded in a strong commitment to horsemanship, excellence, and long-term success for both horse and rider.
